Can I keep my current Phone Number?

Yes you can. Taking your existing number with you is called "porting". You will need to fill out a Porting Request Form. Do not disconnect your copper line, it has to be active for us to port the number, you will be automatically disconnected from the copper line network when the porting completes.

How reliable is the service? Can I use it as my Primary Phone Line?

Telephone calls over the broadband network may occasionally be affected by Internet congestion and do depend on electricity being available at your home.
For this reason it is strongly advised that you have mobile phone coverage in case the phone is unavailable during an emergency. Most no8voice customers do choose to disconnect from the copper line network and use no8voice as their primary phone line.

Great! How do I get Started?

1. First you will need a telephone adapter in order to plug your existing telephone into the no8voice service.







We recommend the Linksys WRP400 available from us at $159.00 (this is a special price for No.8 Wireless customers only). This device is a wireless router and phone adapter all in one!

Features include:

• 4 Wired Ports for connecting computers via a cable.
• Support for Wireless devices.
• 2 phone ports for 2 separate phone numbers.
• Fax support (this must be on a separate fax only line).
• Forget your wireless password? Don't worry, we can change it for you
  remotely.




2. If you are thinking of porting over your existing number we will initially set you up with a temporary phone number. This will allow you to test the service before you port over to ensure everything works smoothly.




3. You will have 30 days to test the device to see if it works correctly. We recommend you use as much of this time as is possible before porting over a number. If for any reason you are not satisfied you can return the device in new condition and the original packaging for a refund of the device ($159.00).




4. Whether you set up a new number with us or you are porting your existing number there is a one off $20 setup fee for each line. This fee will be listed on your first monthly invoice for the no8voice service.
